Why do we replace seals with locks in some cases?

All locks can be easily and quickly broken. Locks require complex and expensive switching, control or combination control methods. In this case, the keys can create more vulnerabilities. After locking packages, trucks or freight containers, the key must be sent to the pick-up location. Seals (except RFID seals) are generally cheaper than locks. Seals are generally lighter and smaller than locks, which is especially important for shipments and cargo. Most locks cannot detect signs of tampering. While seals (e.g. tapes) can be hidden, locks cannot. Most seals are more resistant to corrosion than locks and can perform better under harsh environmental conditions.
